Extension of MoU and Program Evaluation: International Cooperation of FEB UMS Management Study Program with Dong A University, Korea

, was an important day for the Management Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (FEB UMS). On that day, a delegation from the Management Study Program at FEB UMS, represented by the Head of the Management Study Program, Dr. Rini Kuswati, S.E., M.Si, CMA, and the Secretary of the International Management Study Program, Soepatini, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D, along with representatives from the UMS International Cooperation Bureau, coordinated to extend the cooperation/MoU with Dong A University, South Korea.

The event held at Dong A University was a strategic step to strengthen international academic relations between UMS and Dong A University. During the meeting, both parties agreed to renew the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) covering various aspects of cooperation, including student exchanges, joint research, and the existing double degree program.

Dr. Rini Kuswati stated that this cooperation is crucial for enhancing the quality of education and providing students with the opportunity to gain study experience abroad. “We greatly appreciate the well-established cooperation with Dong A University. The renewal of the MoA will further strengthen academic collaboration and provide significant benefits to both parties,” she said.

In addition to the MoA renewal, the meeting also focused on evaluating the ongoing cooperation and double degree program. The primary focus of this evaluation was the UMS students currently studying at Yongsan University and Dong A University in South Korea. Soepatini explained that the evaluation aims to ensure the program runs smoothly and that students receive the necessary support during their studies abroad.

“Through this evaluation, we hope to identify the challenges faced by students and find the best solutions to ensure they can complete their studies successfully and return to Indonesia with valuable knowledge and experience,” added Soepatini.

The cooperation between UMS and Dong A University is expected to continue to develop and contribute positively to improving the quality of education at both institutions. The double degree program is a tangible manifestation of UMS’s commitment to supporting the internationalization of education and providing global experiences for its students.

With the extension of this cooperation, it is hoped that more students will benefit from the exchange and double degree programs, enabling them to compete internationally with better competencies.
