Surakarta, December 8, 2023 – Students from the Management Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) have successfully participated in the Visiting Company activity held from December 4th to December 8th, 2023. This activity forms an integral part of the Strategic Management course in the 7th semester, aiming to provide students with practical experience in the real business world.
Students were actively involved in this educational journey, visiting several major cities in Indonesia, including Semarang, Bandung, Surabaya, and Malang. During their visits, they not only explored the unique cultures of these cities but also had the unique opportunity to delve into the operations of renowned companies.
The companies visited included PT Nissin Biscuit Indonesia, PT Victoria Care Indonesia, PT KAI Indonesia, Tomkins Shoe Factory, Inez Cosmetics Factory, PT Yakult Indonesia Persada, and PT Amerta Indah Otsuka. Each visit offered students profound insights into business practices, management strategies, and industry dynamics.
These visits not only provided students with a deep understanding of various industry sectors but also allowed them to interact directly with professionals in the field. Visits to factories, corporate offices, and production facilities provided students with firsthand experiences of daily company operations.
As the Visiting Company activity concludes, it is anticipated that students of the Management Program at FEB UMS will be able to apply the newfound experiences and knowledge gained during the course not only in their academic endeavors but also in their preparations for the competitive job market. Such activities play a crucial role in strengthening the bridge between academia and industry, thereby fostering the development of skilled human resources ready to contribute to the global business landscape.
