Dyah Putri Mahasari, Aulia Nurul Izzah, and Anindya Dian Azhari from the Accounting Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), achieved a remarkable feat by securing 3rd place in the Business Plan Competition organized by HEMA Management.
This team presented a business plan entitled “Wastrakula: From Literature to Fabric as the Starting Point of the Swasmara Movement in Embracing the Culture of Indonesian Batik.” In their presentation, they successfully combined creativity, business knowledge, and a passion for local culture.
The “Wastrakula” business plan not only garnered appreciation from the judging panel but also created a new breakthrough in supporting the Swasmara movement, which aims to advance the creative industry and preserve the culture of Indonesian batik.
Dyah Putri Mahasari, as the team representative, stated, “We are very happy and grateful for this achievement. ‘Wastrakula’ is not just a business plan but also part of our efforts to ignite a passion for local culture, especially batik.”
This prestigious achievement not only brings pride to the student team but also enhances the image of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UMS in the business competition arena. Hopefully, this achievement will serve as a motivation to continue creating creative and positively impactful solutions in the world of business and Indonesian cultural sustainability.
